Mr. Heater Big Maxx Install Questions

Well my dad and I got it hung last night (a little challenging) but now we need to get the thermostat hooked up. We picked up a Honeywell CT31. Can someone advice to how many wires (2 or 4) get hooked up to this thing and what wires go where inside the Mr. Heater unit.

Also, the heater came with this adaptor to connect the 4" b-vent but the adaptor does not seem to connect to the exhaust fan very well and it looks like you can not screw it on. Also the adaptor length seems short to attach the first piece of b-vent, how did everyone handle this.

As an aside the directions that come with this unit are ridiculous. Also one of the mounting brackets didn't even fit on the unit we had to hack saw pieces out so it would fit around the electrical wire for the fan and the end was 1/4" too long to fit...

Anyways, any help is appreciated on the thermostat and adaptor piece.

Thanks.

Thanks but the link doesn't work, neither does seaching that ID.

The brackets were the right way it was just off by about 1/4" on one of them.

Thanks.

If you run a 3 wire and hook up the G as well (I think it was the G), that is for a fan bypass so you can run the fan and not the heat.
