Just picked up a Mr. Heater Hero 60 to heat my 28x30 fully insulated garage. I have an electric heater (220V) and it was getting a little pricy to heat my garage. The Mr. Heater propane unit works GREAT. It has a cordless option and the btu can run 30,000-60,000. Its extremely quite when its running at 30,000 btu and the unit is cold to the touch. The outside temps here in Michigan are running right around 32 degrees. I run the heater for 30-45 minutes and my inside temp reaches 62 degrees. Very pleased with the unit and would recommend it to anyone considering running a propane heater. Enjoy your turkey!

Ok if you don't mind all your tools and cars sweating not to mention the CO it produces. Consider a CO monitor as well as keeping a window/door cracked for fresh air. Do it right and install a "vented" heater.

I had a friend of a friend who was working on his snowmobile and passed out from a unvented propane heater. He was awakened by the dropping of the wrench he was holding and had to crawl out of his garage.

yep I understand. I've got 3 glass block windows each with a vent. I crack 2 of them and no smell. I'll have to keep an eye on the moisture issue (tools)

Propane heater exhaust has virtually no smell anyhow, and Carbon Monoxide is totally ODORLESS AND COLORLESS. The first thing you notice is a headache, then you are out.

Just bought a Kidde CO monitor, battery and plug in model, with digital read out. In the summer I'll unplug it and remove the battery and put it away, so it won't accumulate dirt all summer in the shop. $39

HD also has a meter, more like a serviceman would use, for measuring CO. You have to order it online. $108
