Mr Heater rear clearance question?

On a 75K Mr Heater Big Maxx it says you need 18" clearance from the rear of the unit. Do they mean from the housing, or do they mean from the rear of the fan?

I am no expert, but 18 inches is a good distance. I would guess that the fan does not count as it is not part of the combustion chamber.

also, where in the manual is this 18" listed? Is it the same for a 45K unti?

Page 5, Table 1...Top Right of the page.

Its the same for both units.

I ended up going 18" from the back of the fan. No big deal now. Thanks!
