Mr. Heater vent question

Hi - I'm new to the forum but I have a couple of garage projects going right now so I'm sure you'll hear from me a few times in the next month.
I know these Mr. Heater installs have been discussed quite a bit so please be patient with me. I have a natural gas, 75,000 btu Big Max that I have mounted and wired. I am planning on venting it horizontally. I have three questions about the vent pipe (I'll check with the inspector before I do it but I'd like your input).

1. It appears that if I use B-vent that eliminates the need for a listed thimble in the wall. Is this true?

2. If I don't need a thimble can the pipe be touching the wall or does it have to be suspended so it passes throught the wall without touching it?

3. This is the main question that prompted my post: I have cedar siding on my house, what is the best way to finish/seal around the pipe where it exits the house? I would like it to be attractive and of course water tight. Are there specific products for this? Anyone have any pictures they can show me?

Thanks in advance for the help.
