I have a Mr heater Big Maxx, It doesn't want to start up when I raise the thermostat. It will start if I shut the power off and turn it back on. It will shut off with the thermostat so I don't think it is the thermostat. Does anybody ever had the same problem

Bypass the tstat with a jumper and see what happens

Any fault codes blinking?

Did you just install and are playing with it, or is this a "used to work fine" thing?

The Big Maxx has a built in delay between heating cycles. If it just shut off, and you walk over and turn up the T-STAT to get it to start up again, it's normal for it not to start right away. Wait a few minutes and it'll start. Cycling the power resets the timer and will allow the heater to start right away.
