OT, but where is 120 used in the Mr. Slim world of miniplits...

I just had 5 removed off my roof as the roof is getting redone.
I know there is a a primary big AWG neutral going uptop along with the hots.

Was just looking at all the wiring, etc that was disconnected. I'm seeing plenty of hot and ground wire. No white >

Well if the units are all 208/230 single phase or three phase nowhere. Just need hots and grounds. There are some 115 VAC units they would need the neutral. Other then that not sure.

i dont know if the units are only 220. I was looking at all the disconnected wiring in the whips, etc. did not see any neutrals....

Then I went to my panel as I was sure they the huge awg neutral... panel cover confirmed that. Just short of a 120 outlet uptop for the service guys to use, was just confirming if these units used 120 at all...

I'm not sure I completely understand what you are stating and asking. If you are saying a large white neutral wire is leaving the panel and heading to the roof, but you are not sure where it is being used, IDK with out more investigation. The only Mitsubishi units that are 120v (nominal) are smaller units (around 6k btu maybe maxed to 9k btu). You will have a large neutral feeding your main panel and maybe you are getting confused. The 208/220 (nominal) units do not need/use a neutral. Hope this helps out.

I suppose the spark ran the wire just to keep the wiring gauge consistent with the hots.....he did put a outlet uptop as a service outlet for the ac guys...

I checked the mitsu install books. no neutral required
