Does anyone know if the communication cable from a mrcool mini split needs to be in its own conduit? This cable runs from the inside unit, through the wall and then down the exterior to the condenser. I intended to put the communication cable, along with the refrigerant lines and drain line into a line cover set. Is that an acceptable form of installation? That is what I see done everywhere.

Thanks

Nope. It's good as it is, so what you want to do is fine. It's actualy done that way almost all the time. BTW, SJOW was what used to be used before the codes changed and "communication cable" was the new requirement.

Isn’t it already zip tied to the other lines? I know I had to zip in my drain line as it was going the same way
