Was working as GM for BASF at paint manufacturing plant in Cleveland. Made “Earl Scibe “

They said we have a nice plant in Charlotte. We moved I became Plant Superintendent of Sun Chemical plant in Charlotte. They had busing we went across state line to SC have lived rock hill for 40 yr. Best place in the country to live. 2 hr from mountains, 3 hr from 🏖️

Your location sounds similar to mine... Except ... I have a forest instead of mountains.

I live in the pine barrens, surrounded by several types of oaks and a few different pine varieties. I'm also a 15 minute drive to the Jersey Shore. I used to have a house right on the ocean but hated being that close to the ocean during a storm. I have 300+ trees on my property... **** up against "green protected land". Wildlife is an issue sometimes but some of them are so cute.

I did a job in Cleveland for a tire company... kept me busy for several months.

Do y’all have “pine pollen.” In the spring. It’s like yellow snow down here

OMG YES. It's horrible. We all TIME our homes pressure washing for the week after the pine cones stop dusting. Here it's more green and is thick enough to SHOVEL if it's not too windy or rainy for a week or two. We park our cars in the driveway... we put "Frost Blankets" on our windshields to protect against the pollen. It also blocks the pollen from dropping down into the cabin filter intake. Which on my two cars is right next to the windshield wiper.

We have an outside cat that's black ... his name is BC (Black Cat)... He is a lovely shade of florescent green in the springtime.

Oh yah I feel your pain. glad when that season passes. Do y’all have sweet gum trees? They have the golf ball sized prickly seed pods , we call them monkey balls. Have 20 I can count from my driveway. Seems they never go away. Got watch out if you step on one could get hurt

Welcome to the Forum from Southwestern California.

I once had a pickup painted at an Earl Schrib shop, the paint held up very well.

No monkey ball trees... The oaks drop their acorns and our sandy yards become fields of two inch seedlings. Oh the sound of acorns cracking in your tractors blades... Sending shards that can penetrate vinyl siding. Or give a concussion to an unsuspecting squirrel.
