I bought a set of Williams screwdrivers from them last month. Took around seven working days to get them, but the price was right and shipping was free. I called after about five days to check on the order. The woman I spoke to was was helpful. No complaints from me.

I have bought several things from them, sometimes it takes a while to get them. Elizabeth in customer service has always been very helpful with updates and answers to questions i have had.

I've probably made my last order with them.

Their website *****. Their shipping times ****. I've been waiting a month now for my last order and they have yet to reply to any of my emails.

I finally got a shipping notification yesterday, but still never addressed any of my emails, and i was never notified that the tool was on back order.

This is my second experience as such. **** 'em.

They are ignoring my emails as well, which was part of the reason I started this thread. I'm thinking a phone call is needed. :bounce:

I got a my Armstrong 88 from there. It was on back order and got timely emails when it was going to arrive. I would agree their website does **** though. Very slow and hard to find things. In your situations, I find the more annoying I can be then the better results!

Waited 10 days and nothing. I made an online inquiry. They answered back and said my order was cancelled. They had stock when I ordered but it was already sold to somebody else. Very poor customer service IMO and I told them so. So, roll the dice ordering from these people, I know I won't again.

Finally got my Armstrong 3/8" breaker that i ordered over a month ago when the "Armstrong @ MRO" deal thread was posted here yesterday.

Finally got a response from Elizabeth concerning my Gearwrench socket. She says that they ordered it directly from Gearwrench, and Gearwrench magically shipped it to the wrong address, and that she's going to do an RMA request for me.

Color me skeptical. Order has been 6 weeks in the making, and i was charged for the socket the same exact day i was finally charged for the Armstrong breaker.

The website communicator stinks and I have waited weeks for a response from that, but I send Elizabeth direct emails now and usually get a response same day, next day at the latest- she is pretty good to deal with and was even at the office on 7/4 for a bit responding to emails. I would imagine that at these prices they order as you order and either drop ship or ship to consumers when they receive the item- I don't think they stock a lot, if any, inventory. If I need something quickly I use other vendors, but for the things I order from them I go into it knowing it will sometimes take a bit longer and factor that into my purchasing decision.

Looks like they closed down, some searching on the internet shows that they have stopped shipping products but continued taking money :eyecrazy:

This is an old thread, but to anyone looking to do business with them, DON'T.
A year ago I got a great deal on some Williams sockets that took a little while to ship, but I talked to the nice lady there on the phone, and she gave me all the info, and overall I was extremely happy with the purchase for the price.

Fast forward 6 months, and I ordered one filler socket for my set. No show for at least a couple of months. No response to emails or calls. Had to file a complaint with my bank. After the bank contacted them, I got my socket within a few days. Never doing business with them again...

Been 5 months since my order last order. First order went smoothly (except for a mix up I will talk about at the bottom). I long since filled a dispute with the CC company and got my money back for the second order. Wouldn't respond to me whether by phone or email. Filed complaints with the BBB and the FTC (which I would encourage all of you do to). By US Law if something is back ordered more than a month (30 days), the company is required to contact the customer and receive permission to wait for the product, or issue a refund. By not contacting the customer in the 30 day window, they have violated US Law. If the FTC gets enough complaints, then there is an investigation, and let's face it, these guys need to shape up. Their business module *****.

Also beware that they have many allen tools listed as ARMSTRONG tools (sockets, wrenches, etc) because "Armstrong owns Allen tools, so they are essentially the same." And yes, that was an actual response I got from a customer service rep on my first order.

The place is a joke for the average customer.

I hope nobody clicks on this thread and gets the wrong idea.

MRO Center and MRO Tools are not the same company.
