You put a 3/8 drive tool on one end to get the other end into a tight space you can't get a normal wrench or socket on to turn.

That is the idea but I need to see a real life picture or video to see if it will work for my needs.

dont know about those but supposedly you can hit these with an impact. I plan on picking them up at some point

These are a rebranded set (couple of brands including "cal van") and um...actually look very useful.
