Sticky! Difference between grounding electrodes & EGCs/grounds

We often get several posts a week here where someone is confused about the difference between a grounding electrode aka. a ground rod, UFER, etc. and an equipment grounding conductor/EGC aka. ground...

Do you use those with PVC air lines? Or is this more about using the 16 gauge cord on my 300 amp welder. My cousin's brother in law has a roommate that knows how the code goes, he was a full time stock broker, but he dabbled in electrical too.

:scared: You should use that 16ga cord to ground your PVC air lines! :thumbup:
