Mud rm bench with shoe storage

Finally got to build something in shop, made some errors but turned out pretty decent, blue pine . A few scratches on the top that I didn't see until I started putting finish on top, err.

Thanks you guy's, Captain I just tried to make it big enough for the to many shoes in mud rm and the space available. Also their's two coat hangers yet to be put above bench, will take a pic when there up.

Question: when people do this, don't the coats get in the way of sitting on the bench (esp if they're wet!)?
