While cool, it has many disadvantages. I could see it making life incredibly easy if it had AI and had the ability to just do flat walls without having the need for human intervention.

I suppose I'm being a Negative Nancy when I see so many pitfalls:

Long cleaning time
Down time due to mechanical/digital failure
Maintenance parts $$$$$$$
Reloading the hopper
Getting in and out of buildings

This thing is slower than pond water if the video is to be believed - I'm all for leveraging robots but this seems like a very cumbersome job for a bot to take over anytime soon, especially in replacement of a speedy drywall crew.

Not enough video or information to judge. Soiunds like it does a finish (skim coat) to smooth the walls. Might eliminate the dust and labor of sanding.

Drywall gets hung during the day, robot works all night after normal work hours. Video is 1st gen robot. Give it time. They will have T2 bots doing it soon.

robot = interesting but I have to read more not that we would ever need one but still interesting

stairs /small rooms / crud on floor/wall over 8' tall , back talk etc ?
