After my 70th anniversary Snap-On Ratchet screwdriver mechanism finally wore out, I started looking for a new one this time with something that organized/carried all the bits I would ever need and replaced the need for carrying a stubby bit driver.

This is what I settled on in the end, you can get the same or very similar 1/4" bit set from numerous brands like ICON/Top-Tul/USAG (made in Taiwan most probably at the same factory), the box seems well made with a nice latch and a rubber overmould.

Mostly I will be using this little kit for vehicle interiors, where I can never ****** remember which size Torx screws they have hidden 🤐

I get why electricians use Klein. But for me, that rubber overwrap is just horrible.
They are even worse without it. The handle has a double square shape, with relatively sharp edges. If you break the rubber overwrap, just wrap the handle in paracord.

No, they're everywhere. They are just so good. It is what is in my kitchen drawer and it has save tons of time running to the garage.

Where to BUY Picquic

You can get them on Amazon in the US.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=picquic&ref=nb_sb_noss_2&tag=atomicindus08-20&tag=atomicindus08-20

Rancher: I know the main multi-bit Picquics are available in the US, from Amazin' as well as other stores. What I was referring to was a report ("I saw it online...") that The Pic — that little pocketable one with just a couple bits — was an exclusive made for Canadian Tire. Now perhaps that isn't true, or perhaps it was true at some stage but it's now gone everywhere. I simply don't know. In any case, searching US Amazon brings up no "The Pic" but lots of the other models.

As I said originally, on a family trip to Ontario, I hit the local Canadian Tire store (as I always do), but this time with the intent of getting the whole line of Picquic multi-bits big and small. While standing there at the display, I also saw this little red-orange thing — and of course I simply had to have it. Then sometime later I read that it was solely available at Canadian Tire. In any case, I can tell you that I have NEVER seen it in a store down here. And while I'm not a compulsive toolie, I do regularly visit such stores regularly.

Wiha bit holder is awesome. The magnet retention is very strong.

They do an insulated one which other than using special bits is also very nice. I get the logic of them not wanting someone to use uninsulated bits but also it would have been convenient cos for 90% of weird bits you don't need the insulation.

I misunderstood. Yes they appear to be a Canadian Tire exclusive. They look pretty handy. When I was a Computer Tech I would have had that in my pocket all the time. It is a amazing what computer gear can be serviced with a Phillips and a Slotted driver.
