So there's a few cordless Oscillating multi tool deals available Dewalt has one for $99 (DCS355C) and so does Milwaukee (2626)...both on their respective 18V and 20MAX platforms.

I'm going to get one and I'm locked into Red so that part is easy enough for me...

But scrolling the Depot website I see the same 2626-21 toolkit is also available as a promo kit the 2621-21P for $50 more

And THAT includes the 48-90-1009 9-Piece blade kit which seems to run about $75 or so most places online.

So does anyone think it's better getting the blade kit deal?

2 xtra Bi metals 4 specific wood blades and 2 specialty blades

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...de-Kit-9-Piece-2626-21CP-48-90-1009/310735583

Are all the Milwaukee's OT compatible with any off the shelf blades like if I went to my local hardware in a pinch

Because looks like the CP kit has just one single blade included

List on the M18 bare tool alone is $119 so even the $99 Compact battery kit is a really good price

And just for comparison a kit with a 5.0 XC battery is $269 :eyecrazy:

Heres the link for the Yellow Dewally guys. I understand its a brushless motor and that's one up over the current Milwacky offering.

I just ordered one of the $99 Milwaukee kits this morning. I didn’t know about the other one with the blades... maybe I need to rethink my order :)

The M18 kit caught my eye when I saw the ad. Figured I could sell the battery/charger and bag for $50-$60.

I've been waiting year after year for a new M18 Fuel but don't know when they will decide to come out with it. Figured now since I'll buy it NPS 2020 watch for the Fuel version.

I have a corded Rockwell I don't use much since 90% of the time I need to make a quick cut and don't feel like grabbing a cord or having to go out to truck get a cord and setup setup. Usually try to find a different way to make the cut with cordless tools on hand.

Even though Dewalt is better with the quick change and Brushless motor I have no 20v batteries and not worth just for 1 tool and the power trigger ***** not a fan of that.

Anyone know what other Brand Blades work on the M18 tool.

Friend has the milwaukee, the thing is seriously a super useful tool. We used it to renovate and redo a bathroom and to cut moldings for hardwood floor install. It was super handy cutting in hard to reach spots and odd areas.

I have it and there's nothing I've found that it didn't power thru easily, yeah it's heavier and bulky but still tons of power. The HD deal on it is great and wish I had gotten that instead of the bare tool.

I have the Ridgid and swapped the head to the quick change version. It makes a huge difference. That said, I would buy whatever tool line I had unless building/buying an adapter is an option.

Ended up getting 2 of the $99 kits. Will part out the Battery/Charger and then gift the other multi tool. Decided to get the Ridgid 14 part blade kit for $40 to try out. Didn't wan't to be locked in the Milwaukee Blade kit for the extra $50 or so. Reviews where 50/50 on the Milwaukee Blades.

I guess its good if you have a use for them all

I did find this 5 star review on the ridged set fascinating...

"My boyfriend really likes it" :lol_hitti

I am slightly curious though how you discerned it was 50/50 on the Milwaukee set when 109 people (at HD site ) gave it 5 star rating with just 30 other reviews split over the next 1-4 stars
