Multiple Grounds (Cross Post)

MRB, you make note that there is No grounding electrode in the building

ok, so you do have 4 wires with isolated neutral and ground, but the romex is a problem as is the lack of grounding electrodes

It's interesting you bring this up, i was reading a couple of weeks ago here

And the way i saw it, external buildings don't get a ground rod (egc).

Am I reading the post wrong or missing something?

Please educate me (seriously, I am not trying to be a smart ***, just trying to learn).

From what I am seeing with discussions, NEC codes are just like football rules.

Too many and can be interpreted many ways.

EGC is not a ground rod. a ground rod is a grounding electrode. GEC is grounding electrode conductor -the wire coming from the ground rod. The EGC is equipment grounding conductor which is the ground wire from the subpanel back to the panel serving it.

also note that its not 'multiple grounds' each of these things serves a very different function. its not an issue of one is good so two must be better.
