Wow - unbelievable transformation!! Thanks for sharing - it's great to see all the work from where you started!

If you guys pay this kind of "detail" in setting the place up and making it look just so - I would think you'd do the same on peoples cars. The place makes a statement!

HotRodKush - you never know, if you'll ever drive by, you're welcome ;)

I'd like to share with you guys, our latest project, which, I belive, will be nice to take a look at.

That's a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, matching numbers, freshly delivered after almost two years of reconstrution. Our job was to clean the mess left by mechanics, and give this beauty some protection for winter in garage. It was waxed with 55% natural Carnauba wax.

Take a look if you're interested, hope you'll like it :)

WOW, what a great transformation, the shop looks really nice! Just out of curiousity, what does a "Full Detail" cost? Looks to me like it's a lot of work. But the results are amazing. Great job!

Thank you very much! Full Detail, "Rise and Shine Luxury Treatment" costs about 450-500$ max, if we talk about big sized car, like muscle, or suv, and it takes 3-5 days to perform by two detailers.

Hi there!

It's been a while... but i want this thread to stay alive, so when few days ago my friend told me that he can give us one of his old compressors i was like - "that's definitely going on GJ" ;)

We used to use his compressor, to spray out water leftovers after drying with towels, because his garage is next to our studio and he has huge amount of hoses. But it will be a lot easier and better to have our own, so today we took this red fella out of sleep.

It was not in use for about 3 years, but started at once. Everything seems ok technically, so today we started to refresh it

Hero of the day

We cleaned and degreased it nicely, then we took of most of the paint from the plate, but left it inside the letters to give it nice, vintage look. Then we sanded it a little bit and painted red.

Here's how it looks freshly painted, and my design to do the sides - i'll try to paint pure black flames when it will be completely dry, hopefully it will look nice :)

cool compressor! how you doin buddy?

Thanks! I plan to learn to paint a little bit, because i want to start doing some panels for fun, you know, pinstripes, flames, patterns. Something creative.

We're doin allright, things were tough during winter, now it's much better.
He have some customers, most of our stuff in studio works fine, we have AWESOME neighbours in workshop next to us... that's what it was all about.

Go to work after gym, then have a coffee with no rush... welcome previously arranged customer, have a little chat with no boss behind your back, get to work with your favourite music in earphones, have awesome BBQ with co-worker and friends, and do not worry about opening hours... we finished 11:45PM that day, but so what? It's something awesome to be your own boss and doing what you like

btw. that's the bbq which our friend from next-door man cave made... looks impressive, isn't it?

I started working for myself in January 2009. Took a huge leap, but fortunately via networking/etc. I've been lucky to have consistent, well-paying work ever since. It's a huge financial risk but the payout is awesome. I work more hours than ever, but am happy as can be doing so at home with the dogs/family with me :)

Awesome you have great neighbors, giving someone tools like that would be practically unheard of around here!

Exactly! Honestly, every decision like this gives you something even more than satisfaction. Partially i felt like that when i left my really well paid job as seller in xtreme sports shop to work for 60% of that in music store where i liked it more because of my passion.

And about the neighbors - belive me, it's excatly this same in my country. That guy is very good person and we're lucky to have him close. He also helps me a lot with my car, never wanted money... that's unusual nowadays, sadly, but people like that can really back your faith in people.

Have you seen his gift for us when we started?

No sorry guys haven't got a website ..i dont advertise as ive been going for 13 years so all my customers are weekly..2 weekly..or monthly i seem to specialize in black cars as 90% of my customers own black cars ..i do alot of AUDI. BMW.MERCEDES. PORSCHE. FERRARI, LOTUS..CLASSIC AND RACE CARS...I think you guys should think about setting a mobile detail van up to add to your current service ..alot of business people havent got time to drop there cars off to be detailed, so you go to them..very low overheads as no rent to pay..and if you run it like i do with no monthly account customers just pay on the day cash or cheque you have no out standing debts
cheers Dave

Hi guys!

It's been a while since i last updated this topic... but in next few days i'll share with you some new photos.

Meanawhile i'd like to show you our last project, freshly detailed Nissan 350Z with carbon kit and a lot of aftermarket HP ;)

One of the hardest, because of the carbon, especially the hood which was in awful condition - it took as 2 days to make it perfect, i mean hood alone!

ps. car is freshly imported from the US :)

Makes me think of the film Nissan made of a 350Z racing through the streets of Prague:
It's a modern version of Rendezvous, the movie from the 1970s of a Ferrari driving through Paris.

Whotwut - sorry for such a delay, but for the carbon fiber we used regular polishing compounds, only for the hood we had to work 8hours with paper first, then we started polishing. Long detail it was ;-)

Guys, just to keep you all updated, i would love to invite you to take a look at our webpage (www.riseandshine.pl -> portfolio) from time to time, where you can see latest projects, or to like us on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/riseandshineautodetailing?) , i can start writing there in english as well if there will be few of you interested :)

One of our latest projects - full correction and CQuartz application, definitely worth seeing! :)

MusicMan, How do you like Poorboy's over in Poland (?)? I've been using it (and selling it) for several years and can't say enough good things about it!

Also, the shop is looking great!

Hi! Actually, Poorboy's is very popular in Poland, one of the best selling brands i belive. I really like some of their products, so we use them a lot. We have collection of all three Natty's (my favouirte "every day" wax), Natural Look is always in use, same thing about their scents - we have all of them for our use in studio.
