Besides, sockets, wrenches, hammers and screwdrivers, what are you guys "must have tool" that you would never go without in your tool box?

Digital camera. A pic on disassembly is worth a thousand words and helps to keep the 'extra' parts to a minimum.

3/8" impact gun, my MG31 spends more time in my hand than any other tool I own.

Re: must have tool

What I consider the most important tool that isn't obvious is the pry bar, there is a lot of stuff that just needs a little extra nudge. On the other hand the pry bar may be obvious to most.

Multimeter, vise, safety glasses and a camera. Not the most obvious choices but they have all saved me plenty of times.

A friend gave me a deburr tool he called a shaviv but I see shaviv is a brand name. It's a triangular, file hard, pointed scraper that is very handy. Amazon calls it a machinist scraper. Scraper

The most important one (and the one I sometimes ignore) is the one between my ears!

Re: must have tool

Well this really does not go in my tool box but my leatherman Wave. Most used tool I own. But in my box would be my 20v max 1/4" DeWalt impact. Thing is a beast and the 3 led lights on the front are awesome

Re: must have tool

Flashlight's already been mentioned, so I'll suggest headlamp. One or the other follows me everywhere at work and a lot of the time when I'm working at home. Second, a large straight edge screw driver. Applications are endless...

I always have a 10" Knipex Cobra and a 12" Bahco adjustable wrench in the leg pocket of my overalls. In the cargo pocket there is always a 6" Bahco adjustable wrench and small Knipex sidecutters. That stuff can do alot of jobs.

Single tool? A small diameter piece of brass stock. Useful for making punches, picks, etc.

Flashlight, sharpie, a few different size mirrors, DC-111, superglue, acid brushes, popsicle sticks, magnets, church key, safety wire, isopropyl alcohol, LPS2, xacto knife, common hardware, pen+paper OR pen+hand, magnifying glass, some sort of tool bag, spare car key, I can think of tons.
