This was my dad's box. He had a short stint as a mechanic after coming back from Tinian when WW2 ended. It spent the next 40 years in his basement workshop until he passed away. It has been in my basement for the last 25 years, holding the tools that built my 2 son's cribs, bicycles, cars, you get the picture. The label-maker tells the tale.
I was always curious of the ship on the cover. I can't find any dates or model stamps on it. But I know he got out of the service in 1943 and worked as a milkman since 1952. So in between there somewhere. Any ideas? I would enjoy hearing them....Pete

Nice old toolbox. My father had a similar one that I believe my sister has now.

The ship looks sort of like a 50's Plymouth emblem?

I've got the same box, albiet not in as good condition and without the family history. Still a good general purpose box. Hang on to it.
