Hello everyone. As a self proclaimed car guy, I have spent a lot of time drooling over many of the garages on the site. Of course plenty of ideas have gone through my head of what to do for my own garage.

Last year I bought my first home complete with my 19' x 20.3' two car. Still have a little over a month left on the construction schedule but I have been able to put my ideas into works.

Sorry for the poor quality iPhone photos.

Some additional electrical, Cat 6 and coax run for A/V.

So here is the plan. Trying to figure out placement with the larger, tall cabinet in the corner as it leaves some space between the base cabinets. I have to thank Money for introducing me to the Saber cabinets. The tan colored box near the stairs is where I am planning my tire rack. Not sure if it will fit after seeing the garage door framing today.

I am planning on using the professional EpoxyShield for the flooring.

Poor car is looking forward to a much bigger space.

Good eye on the solar panels. Those will be installed today. The inverter box will go directly next to the panel already up. It's a 3,000 kW system for a 1,400 sq ft home.

I had them pre-wire 2 ceiling speakers as well as 4 additional canned lights. I know its not the ideal lighting which everyone on here goes for but I will handle that later down the road. One step at a time.

Update. Closing was pushed back to the end of April. Had delay after delay after delay. So much for a November move-in when I signed my contract last March. Ha!

Stopped by to check on progress over the past couple weeks. Home has drywall but missing tape and mud.

Panels are in however I have no idea what this little shelf is that they put here. WTF?! Laziness and I will be bringing it to the attention of our builder.

Let's hope the excessive amounts of propane don't explode and have to have us start all over.

You can see where I have run power and coax/Cat 6 for the tv.

Damn stairwell.

Quick update.

Closed on the house finally on April 29th. Obviously been busy moving in and getting things settled here. I did get the TV hung in the living room.

Quick photo of the cars in the garage. Too much junk. Guess I have to texture and paint to get this garage to look good.

This past weekend I was able to get the garage textured and painted. I have not taken any photos but will update those this long holiday weekend.

However I did get my Saber cabinets and worktop ordered. Looking forward to getting this old tool chest out of here.

Ha! The STi is my 5th Subaru. Living in Colorado, it's the perfect combo. The Forester I got for my wife 3 years ago. I think it will be traded in for a 2016 X5 35d with the M sport kit. As for my STi, I am going to keep it forever. Maybe try for a really damn good deal next summer on a final 2016 M3 to do an ED for Oktoberfest could be in the works.

wow....I have never seen so many screws in each sheet of drywall before. Those things certainly aren't going anywhere! Congrats on being moved in though, nice feeling, I'm sure. Looking forward to the progress to come.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone! Sorry for the iPhone photos. I chose to buy my garage cabinets before I invest in a camera. I elected to take Friday off instead of Monday as I was originally told by the shipping company bringing me my new Saber cabinets that Friday was the date. Nope. They ended up calling and rescheduling to Wednesday.

So here is a quick update. I measured where my new upper cabinets will go and mounted the TV. It's nothing fancy. I did get rack system installed. Still have a couple left to install but not sure where they are going to go.

I also got my detailing shelves in but am still waiting on my gallon storage shelves to arrive in a couple weeks. Really happy with how this is starting to shape up. I know the cabinet install will help clean up.

Spent Saturday putting together the cabinets and getting them mounted. I am very happy with how it turned out. Tons of storage.

I am selling the old Husky tool chest to really open up the garage and help get rid of the clutter.

Looks great, I love the cars(especially the STi, my dream car someday soon as I'm waiting for them to update the old 2.5L). The cabinets and work bench look really nice. From my experience, they will fill up fast!

Where did you get that track outline of the ring? I'm digging that!

A company called Track Sculptures. I took advantage of a 35% coupon a few months ago and ordered. Love the ring and planning to drive it next year. Hope to get a M3 at the end of the 2016 production and do an ED.
