I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

Hello from Texas. I’m new to this forum and happened to stumble upon it over searching the internet for garage ideas when I found 12-gauge garage (Daggum!).

I have a smaller 2 car garage that houses my tools and space for projects. My wife parks her car on one side of the garage.

Joined here to learn more about tools and conversions as well as ideas for organizing.

This is what it looks like after this weekend. Still a lot of clutter and I need to redo the shelving above my workbench. These shelves were in here when I bought the house. I put the one above the door in this past weekend. My paint used to be there but I moved it to a more space efficient location.

Welcome from Maryland

This Section is fine for your posts about your projects in your garage and any upgrades you may want to “steal” from other threads. It’s quite common to steal and modify to suit your needs and materials.

Thanks Captain. I appreciate the insight.

Looking forward to using some of the ideas I find here in my garage.

Did some rearranging today. Working on getting the drill press cleaned up.

I see some really good ideas

I'm probably going to copy the paint can shelf, and the pull up bar!

What size iron pipe is that, and how is it holding up? I wonder if 240lbs is too much for those threads.

I used 3/4” pipe. It’s really whatever size you want to use for your hand or forearm strength. I have a set of “fat gripz” I can put on the bar to make it thicker to work my hand strength. I think the threads will be fine. I’m 190# but was 260# when I started the pull up bar. Just spread the load across multiple joists. I have mine on 1 joist and I think it’d be better if distributed.

Take any ideas you see! I appreciate the kind words.

Welcome to the forum! Seems like you're on the right track. Make use of as much space as you can. I'll be checking in as I too am in the organization process.

Yes sir! Appreciate you stopping by.

I’m getting a table saw tomorrow so I’m worried about it taking up too much space.

Not sure if I want to build a work bench with the table saw incorporated or replace those 2 black shelves in the picture with something like my workbench.

The wood on the floor is for the siding on the backside of the house. Maybe I’ll do that this weekend and get it out of the way. Then let the table saw sit for a few days in the way before I decide. Haha!

In the garage now. The shop dog is Pepper. She’s my helper for the day.

Well ladies and gentlemen,

My wife and I have decided to move. Which is really nice because the new house has an oversized 2 car detached garage with a wide single garage door. I'm looking forward to having a 2 car wide single garage door! Also, the only vehicle that will be parked in the garage will be my '64 F100.

We aren't moving for about another month but hopefully I can get some pictures to post here so y'all can see.

I'm really excited about the new house and garage.
