So I picked up this wilton from a craigslist ad for 20 bones.
Smooth as a baby *** slide from the start.
I was torn on what color I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to color the embossed letters white, so I chose rustoleum blue spray from Wally world.
Ten minutes in sandblaster and 4 coats of paint latter I have a pretty sweet looking wilton. All I found on it was an HD up near the jaw and it says 5-945 on the belly of the slide.
I bought it to rehab and then sell but I like it so much lol. Damn these tools!

If I had to guess, I would say that you have a ~3" Wilton Bullet there from 9 of 1945! Chicago is cast on the side so that is definitely an oldie! That is an awesome little vise you got there, it is missing the swivel base but it should still be ready for another 65 years! You definitely **** a lot for getting it for $20! I dig the blue too, although people might ask why you have a Wilton painted like a Morgan. Nice job!

You got a beauty! Don't see too many that old, that nice! 9-545? What jaw width is it? 4 1/2"?

They are 4" jaws.
What do yall think is a fair price for this on retail market?

Its worth as much as the someone that really wants is willing to pay. Might have been worth more unpainted. There could be a blue Wilton on Ebay right now. Its worth a watch.
