Gball, I have been enjoying your build, it is looking good. Sorry about the concrete. From the looks of it, those cracks are from the ground underneath settling, especially since they happened so fast. Was the ground mechanically compacted? Also on post # 9 there is a layer of dark organic looking soil that should have possibly been removed? Keep up the good work!

yes, i borrowed a gas compactor and went over it every day for about 2 weeks. wetting it down between runs... all together inside and out i have 5 leads of sand in there... plus half of the back fill was done, sat over 1 winter, then walked on while doing the rest of the block the next spring/summer. not sure if it is settling. If you look at the picture with the crack by the garage door opening, on the apron. There is block directly under that crack...

but yea, what ever is causing it.... it *****.

Front wall finished today. This shake siding isn't too bad except going around windows and getting the end pieces in. Plus the waste, cut off pieces really can't be used. turned out pretty good i think. Wall will look less like a box with the dirt work done and landscaping i hope.

Been a while since i updated. Got the garage all sided and started on the house. Done with that till the spring when i can get the power comp. to change me from overhead to underground service. The meter box and pole is in my way.

Got most of the insulation hung and about half the drywall up.

I did get some landscaping done along the front and back side of the garage.

I'm now just messing around bringing stuff from the barn in and cleaning tools and stuff. Basically putting stuff in my way. a Couple tool boxes, a lift, welders, and my tire machines.
