Over the course of few years, got prices on pole buildings, looked into conventional stick build. Due to budget and zoning issues decided to go with a 24x32x10 pole building. After a long process, finally got approval from township, and placed a deposit this past July.

At local building supply house I had them make a set of 34' seamless gutters, brought them home and painted them black to match the soffits and trim. Then Installed them with 3x4 downspouts and piped them out away from building in 4" dwv pipe.

Been busy these last 7 weeks that the pole building has been up.
Passed electrical trench and rough inspection. Got the 70amp sub panel, lights, couple of switches and receptacles all in, wired and heated up, and the trench backfilled. Nice not having to use extra long extention cord from house and work light and flashlights, especially with it getting dark so early now.

Put up gooseneck lights over both doors. Bought the strongway barn lights from Northern Tool. 12" over the man door and 16" over the garage door. Made up plastic mounting blocks for 4 inch pancake electric box since there was a rib in the siding over each door. I used the veranda 3/4 x 5.5 plastic trim board from home cheepo.

Hauled in many loads of fill to build up around the pole building because of the hill, then build a retaining wall, so that I could then fill in the inside of the building. I hauled the fill in my 7x12 dump trailer, because couldn't get a tandem or triaxle dump up the hill to near the building.
Also I was able to get the trailer to right where I needed the fill out, so less double handling.

Started filling in the interior with many loads of sand, compacted real nice, but then we got a week of rain and got too muddy where I was getting it from. Switch to recrushed recycled asphalt($4 a ton). Got a bunch of loads, spread real easy and compacted real nice also.

You are going to love the recycled asphalt! I used 30 tons for my 24X40. Compacted hard as concrete. In fact, It had been down for a few weeks, compacted and rained on and I went to put my floor drains in and had to pick ax through the stuff. It is a great base for concrete. No cracks in my concrete after two years!

Got the floor poured yesterday, guys did top notch job. Finished pouring around noon, and finished the last power trowel pass at 11pm. Came out way better than I had expected.
