Kind of a noob, but I thought I'd show you my non-traditional garage....
I've been renting it for 8?? years now,(since my nearly one-car at home is not worth mentioning..) and still can't beat the price. It's only 10 minutes from my house.
It's Dry, well lit, has a hot water heater for washing cars , air, garbage, a toilet, dish TV in the old office, and a whole pile O guys that, for the most part get along real well. It's about 8,000 sq. ft. total, and not many people know where it is.

oh..the price?
110 a month.
That's not canadian, either.. :canadian:

I rent from the boat, left....(it's not mine.)
Under the covers is my rabbit TDI, and behind that is the wife's Fiat 124 spyder.

and a shot of my bike shop at home..

If any of you old race car junkies were in Tacoma about 10-15 years ago, you'll know EXACTLY where I'm at....

yep, it's a communal-type garage.
It's a lengthy process to get in, but since there are 3 law enforcement officers that are members, it's pretty safe to say, nobody gets too far out of line.

That shop has saved my bacon, and lots of money, for me over the past eight years..

The rabbit is a 77 with original paint and interior and a 1998 turbo direct injected motor , trans, and wiring harness from a 1998 jetta installed. I did have to replace the cowl due to rust, and I re-painted the engine compartment while I had the motor out. Did it myself, right where it sits..with the new injectors and chip, it should be @ 130 hp, 225-240 ft/lbs. tq.

here's a few pics of the rabbit...

Pretty sharp Rabbit.

Awfully small battery- what the heck is that? Some pretty strong opinions on the K&N filters at www.tdiclub.com

I had a 98 Jetta TDI which I sold to a friend. Now I have an 05 Jetta wagon TDI.

Your Rabbit, at around 800 or so pounds lighter should really scoot :)
