My first car was a battered old 1976 Mini that was issued to me by my father when I turned 17. I still have it and I still use it as a daily driver almost 20 years later, it's perfect for getting around the ancient city of Edinburgh on the narrow cobbled roads. It is the only car I'll never ever sell. Christ, I could fit 8 of these in the workshop! hahaha
And don't let anyone tell you they're impractical... if you need to drop a ford 302 block off at the machine shop, all you need to do it spend 45 seconds removing the 2X 1/2" bolts that hold in the passenger seat
I have it on good authority that on that particular day, this was the only 6 litre mini in Britain
