my 30x38 shop build

after a couple years of having a little machine shop in my father's basement it was time for my own shop. it will be mostly used for working on old cars and such. its 30x38, 11ft walls with 12ft vaulted ceilings. 2 10x10 doors and 2 man doors.

the plan is 100% metal covered walls. planning on using a boiller for the radiant heat and heating the house with it too later on. still unsure about insulation for the walls. dont know weather to use r28 of stick to r20. temps usually get down to the -30's in the winter.

That interior ceiling line looks great -- will it be left open, or finished?

it will be finished with metal all over.

not sure what to do about lighting as of yet. thinking of using those 420w cfl bulbs. 8 of them would give me about 3.2w per sq/ft. i will be doing lots of machining and fabrication so i want it bright in there.
