FINALLY, starting my shop build! Dirt work started a couple of days ago but they were unable to finish due to rain. I didn't get a pic off what it looked like when they stopped. I'll try to get one tomorrow.

Yes, sir! Will be looking forward to this one. These are the same dimensions I am planning for as well.

Welcome. I have a 30' x 40' x 10' and every now and then I think "Another ten feet on the end would have been nice." Happy with the height and the space is really adequate for my needs. But I guess all of us get shop envy from time to time. Once your building is up and you are in it you will find a thousand ways to make it more suitable for you. And that is what the Garage Journal is really all about. Take and post a lot of pictures. We like pictures.

Bib, I think I actually would prefer something smaller. However, I may be 'leaning forward' a little too much, but at the age of 40, I'm trying to make room for stuff that I know I'll be responsible for as my Dad and Father in Law get older. And as we know, building materials won't be getting cheaper....

Plan ahead.
Sweat the details.

They finished framing the main shop yesterday and are supposed to start hanging tin on the walls today! They still have to frame out the lean too also
