Making progress!

I feel for these guys. It's 104 in the shade, the garage is cook'n with the sun beating on the metal and the spray is heated to 130 degrees prior to it coming out of the gun.

Spray foam complete!

Next step is to have everything painted white.

There is no "barrier." The foam is sprayed directly onto the metal.

My understanding is the barrier is between the "living space" and the foam... What did you end up doing? Open or Closed and how did you see it priced?

Thanks in advance!

Yep, that's pretty awesome!

Thank you sir!

Don't you have to cover the spray foam with something? Sheetrock, osb?

I am just having it spray painted white and done!

Metal buildings need closed cell (hard) foam. It makes the walls rigid and doesn't trap moisture causing rust. Open cell (soft) is for wood structure.

As for price... It's expensive, but worth it. My neighbor has panels of insulation and his garage is hot!

Lights are back up, ceiling fan blades back on and some garage art is on the walls. It's starting to feel like a useable garage! Spray foam dude left his scaffolding for me to do some work. He's picking it up tomorrow and then it's time to put some cars in the new digs.

Tonight I vacuumed the floor (lots of spray insulation BB's) for the Shelby's grand entrance. The 2-Cobras might join the fun tomorrow. New purchase should arrive next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Great place. Do you plan on finishing the floor? Just curious. I have about 1200 SF that I want to have ground and sealed.

Interesting project. I like the sprayed foam. I have it in my shop ceiling. You should consider finishing the inside walls up to eight feet. The foam is tough stuff but it won't hold up or maintain it's good look if it takes a beating.

I plan to do some sort of epoxy, just not sure when yet.

I plan to leave it as is. If the walls get beat up, I'll do something then. I have a separate workshop, so this garage will be more of a place just to house my cars. I can't image the walls taking too much abuse.

Freaking awesome shop sir. I must ask, what brand fan is that (Huge ***?) and roughly what was the cost.

Love your stable of Mustangs!

You have two very lucky sons.
