This has been in the plans for over 12 years. I was about to pull the trigger on a all steel building right before the economy tanked and i was laid off. This barn is about 1/2 the cost of the all steel building. Built by WS and sons in KU PA im very happy with it, Seem much better built then other barns in the area.

So the barn as you see it ran 32k with about $2700 to tear up the back yard. This will be a very slow build as money comes in and weather permits.

Great looking building... just a warning you will run out of money and the hours you spend on it will be exhausting. I know from experience and that seems to be the consensus. But it will be worth it in the end.

This is a rough idea of what it will look like. Man cave area then a bathroom. Above is a 12x20 craft room for wife and the pallet lift in the bathroom is actually going to be an elevator. Didn't want to waste space with steps so making an elevator with 1000lb lift capacity, will be nice to load engines and **** up to the mezzanine.

The wife has to use the lift to get to her craft room? ;)

Kind of forgot about this post and its funny to see how the barn has pretty much become the drawing i made. Ill just post some pictures.

Like the drawing i have a downstairs man cave area, bathroom and elevator. Up stairs is craft room and storage. Heat is waste oil furnace, waste oil boiler. The boiler heats the bathroom and craft room and i have some baseboard in the man cave area. I also have insulated pex going to the house but not yet hooked up. 5 ton AC i threw together for about 1k. R38 blown in and R19 walls. This winter with just the heat lose of the boiler 60'F is as cold as it has gotten, it was 8'F that night.

Yep, 87 starion. Pulled the 2.6 boat anchor and it will get a 94 5.0 with T-5 trans. Nothing crazy just reliable good sounding fun.
