:scared:a little rough when i bought it, worse when i took it apart. well,it came down on me & broke my leg. my family wants me to get rid of it.did i listen, hell no! my first project is not getting the best of me. its all apart, my chassis is done,frontend,rear,brakelines & new powersteering all in place. now working on the cab. i bought a new mig & im learning to weld & fabricate. im replacing steps,risers,braces,1/4 floor, also bottom of front posts need to be fabed. a little slow, but its comming out nice. im taking my time & learning.theres a lot more work than i expected,but i enjoy doing it & im learning. why not, i have the time now.

I'm a little confused. In this thread it shows the truck still assembled and the rear of the cab is peeled and rusted with a lot of holes around the rear window. But in the thread that shows the cab separated on dollies the rear of the cab has paint matches really well and doesn't show any signs of damage.

chopper sorry, this is the first time posting. before i took the truck apart i ground down the area around the window to stop the rust from spreading. i primed & painted it orange, the same color as the faded red.

You did a good job of cleaning it up and matching the paint :thumbup: Had me fooled!
If you do as well on the body restoration as you did on the frame you'll have a fine looking truck. I don't think I've ever seen a pick-up with a vinyl top before.

one of my parts guys, joblot who sells early ford parts from early 1900s to i think around the 70s remembers this truck. it was owned by a guy that did upholstery, he put the vinyl roof & put carpet over the rust to hide it. joblot--718 468 8585 to my suprise he hid alot.
