Well, my floor is fully cured now and I finally brought the car home from a buddy's storage unit today. I spent evenings over the past week building the work bench and everything, but so far so good on the floor and it really makes the garage very nice. I used Performance Epoxy/Epoxy Coat in the taupe color and I'm very impressed with how it turned out. Will definitely use them again for all future garages (I have to move every few years for my job).

Let me know what you think.

Ha! That would have looked "interesting!"
Though the car really is red...my camera gets goofy sometimes depending on the light.

Thanks a lot, I love Mopars! Just something about 'em. And it has been a ton of good work building this one. Nothing wrong with a Honda! I actually drive a Toyota (Tundra) and my wife's got a Honda Accord. They are excellent cars.

I think you'll find once you get started that it is not hard to make these floors look great. I can tell where I messed up (a little thicker in some areas, uneven chip dispersement), but as long as you mix the parts properly and put the stuff down in at least somewhat warm temperatures (unlike how I did...), you'll be good. I was not exact in my 2:1 ratio - close, but not exact - so the stuff is a little bit forgiving.

Just wanted to follow up almost a year later - floor still looks like new. Maybe a couple of minor dents and scratches where I've dragged around my floor jack (heavy duty one that weighs about 100 lbs), jack stands, car parts, but NOTHING that has damaged the floor despite the abuse. Seems like no matter what spills on it, it cleans up great. No tire marks from the Mopar that I couldn't clean easily with some windex and paper towels. It easily looks as good as when I first did it, and the Performance Epoxy product has definitely exceeded my expectations. I experienced some difficulty early on because I applied it when it was about 39 degrees outside and it took a while (almost a month) to completely cure. But it looks great and gets lots of compliments. I have emptied the garage out twice to fully sweep and mop with Mop N Glo and it does a great job.

Highly recommend Performance Epoxy.

No problem - I sent a couple of friends your way and both are happy with their floors as well. Really appreciated your help when I thought I'd screwed it up.
