Those show up ofter here at auction and go cheap but I never had any use for them. I have traded scrap to my scrap guy for the C channel uprights though to use as bracing on a welding table. What are your plans with them?

Yup. I did this with one - no door but 7' high by 19" wide open shelves 24" deep will help organize a whole lot of stuff off the floor.

I have one I'll give away, complete with four dell servers, and some other networking hardware. Just come and pick it up and move it yourself! It's a 5 ft high rack, btw.

Wow. Cool looking stuff. Are they pretty beefy? Not flimsy at all? Computers aren't nearly as heavy as most tools...

Disagree, a full rack of enterprise grade servers will outweigh just about any collection of tools you would ever want to put in one of those.

I've gotten a few server cabinets both from auctions and giveaways the past few years, normally flip them on craigs locally for ~$50-100 to computer geeks. JMO but in a garage theyre one of those "good in theory, bad in practice" examples bc theyre pretty flimsy and oddball sizes too. It might be a starting point for something, but IMHO not worth the effort. I'd much rather have that much more room for pallet racking, heavy cabinets, or other items that work without a ton of effort.

I got them from a state surplus auction website.

The black ones are really heavy duty steel 7ft tall and the grey one is aluminum 6ft tall.

I would like to see some photos of these re-purposed in a garage. Some of the ideas seem good, but I can't quite get the vision in my head.
