Nice!! I was just checking out the Enderes website. Looks like a good, old fashioned company that still takes pride in their products. I'm going to call them in the morning and get a price on the punch set.

Very nice. Congrats! Should last you a long time: permanent if their slogan is correct. It's a nice collection of types and sizes too.

BTW: when did BC move to Hrvatska?

That Craftsman stuff might as well have been made of rebar, as soft as the metal is, sorry to say.

If the Enderes stuff is as advertised, it's a good deal, 17 piece set for $61 from Northern tool. I may try the chisel set, been meaning to forge a few more, but haven't gotten a round tuit. The wife doesn't like the smell of the coal forge anyway.

I've had great luck with the WF made Craftsman sets personally.

Most everything I have seen has been too soft, had a chisel that actually mushroomed at the tip, others that wouldn't hold an edge, and a rollpunch that bent, This was fairly new stuff hat I bought as a set for home use, what I could salvage ended up in the hot work pile where the lack of temper didn't matter. I was told that it was a liability issue, harder tools can chip if not taken care of or used properly and some idiot is always ready to sue the mfg for his own lack of care and maintenance.

Enderes is good quality. They have been around a long time and used to make a lot more things than they do now. They used to make great fixed blade screwdrivers for a reasonable price but stopped when they had problems getting usa made handles. It is possible to find old stock in some stores, but not commonly.

Well I've been happy with them, And actually the chisels I thought were fantastic. And Ive barely mushroomed any ends so far.

Enderes still make screwdrivers, a multi-bit too. Some stuff is "Enderes USA" but made in Sweden. When I was buying from Grainger years ago I recieved a bunch of them little red handled reversable screwdrivers with the small philips/std tips. Very good quality, use them when building hi-end computers now. I also have a 6-in-1 that is nice too.

Very nice. Good to see companies that value their quality, brand, and manufacturing tradition.

I was in Albert Lea, MN once, visiting an equipment manufacturer in town.

Did you buy them new and what did you give for them? Thanks!

Nice stuff, but hard to believe they hired a bunch of American blacksmiths to pound those into shape especially with today high tech tool making equipments. Also hard to believe they can make profit using such ancient methodology.

I have a few endres tools and they are great, if I see Endres on the shelf I will usually grab it. Good pricing generally and great quality.

I see "limited lifetime warranty" but can't seem to find what that actually means.

All I need to know is if I bend a punch in normal use, do they replace it?

"Made by Hand" doesn't necessarily mean blacksmiths with hammers and anvils. I'd expect they are drop forged, probably with hand deburring, finishing, etc. This is pretty typical in tool manufacturing.

If it so typical, why even bring it up. I am guessing just marketing.

The fixed blades are discontinued.
From their catalog:
NOTE ALL FIXED BLADE SCREWDRIVERS ARE CURRENTLY DISCONTINUED NO ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN AT THIS TIME All Enderes® bits, both Flat and Phillips types are manufactured through advanced technology and special application high precision grinding machines. Each production step is performed individually; one piece at a time. Slotted bits have tip and flat surfaces precision ground. Phillips bits have a special precision geometry which transmits higher torque, decreases screw or screwdriver slippage and reduces ejection forces for less wear and longer edge life. Each driver far exceeds all Federal torque test requirements for strength and durability.

Fleet farm has carried Enderes for years. They look nice are are priced very well, I have thought about buying a set for home but never got arounded to it. I do have some prybars made by them and although they are no Mayhew, have proven very tough for my secondary set and for a while in my road box before picking up some used SO dirt cheap. I may have to look online as Fleet has never had a set that big.
