My baby is ugly...need help

Okay, so no one likes to admit they have an ugly baby. I love my workshop (ugly baby) but not the prettiest thing. It is well built steel structure. it is a 40 x 70 space. 14' at the peak. I use approximately 20x40 for office area. Actual workshop is about 50x40.
I have three bays, one tall door (12') and two 10' doors.

Radiant tube heating and horrible Metal Halide (I think that is what was determined in a different thread).

I would like ideas on how I could dress it up.
Covering for the walls (I don't want to hang and finish drywall)
I would really like to put something on the ceiling to make it look a little nicer.
Any ideas on how I could insulate the doors that looks decent?
I need to update the lighting to LED but need to find a contractor.

Also, I would like to stay somewhat cost effective. I really would like to keep the improvements under $5k total in materials

If anyone knows of a contractor or someone capable of doing it in North Central Ohio, that would be great!!! I will do the work, however, I travel so much for work, I prefer just to work on my toys when I actually am home and get free time.

Also, if this is the wrong place for this, let me know where it should go and I will try to move it or do what I have to. Thanks in advance!

Do tin or plywood on the walls about 8' tall. Do nothing to the ceiling it's already white and look nice.

Lots of people on here have insulated their garage doors. Someone may post a link otherwise a quick search should turn something up.

I'd plywood up to that midpoint of your 2nd red steel girt if possible. Looks like it's probably 8' ish? More dent resistant than drywall, doesn't have to be painted if you don't want to and let's you hang stuff anywhere. Stopping midpoint let's you go to the ceiling down the road easily if desired with either plywood or something else

If it was mine I wouldn't worry about the ceiling, but depending on the usage liner panel could be a good solution. Not a fan of how it can make rooms echo more but if the hobbies aren't that loud may not matter.

Thanks guys, on the plywood, are you thinking 1/2"? I would paint it, probably a light color but not white. For the install, would you install "firing" strips or something? If so, is the best way to secure to the steel with nut/flat head bolt/washer? I don't have a gun to shoot through metal (or at least that shoots nails )

The easiest and least expensive way would be metal liner panels. The second girt should be at 7'-4" so you could split that girt and use plywood low and metal above.
Metal and wood can be fastened with self drilling screws. Any good metal supplier can set you up with all the required trim pieces to finish the liner.
The building was insulated after the fact but I don't think you will have a condensation problem with the purlins.

I like 3/4 plywood and it's what we put in the new farm shop with similar construction because it just holds up better to abuse and gives more ability to hang stuff anywhere. If you don't hang much on walls, that extra material may not benefit you and will admit that 10 or 15 sheets in that extra weight of the 3/4" material starts to get old.

I'd install with self tapping sheet metal screws, available your big box store of choice

1/2” plywood and self tappers on the walls. I’d get some of that foil backed foam insulation at Lowe’s and cut panels to insulate the doors

If you want cool ideas for finishing the inside check out rrbuildings on YouTube or Instagram. He pretty much only builds shops and pole barns and does some really nice metal work interiors

My neighbor put white metal inside his shop it's on the walls and ceiling. Looks great.

I can not count how many shops I've been that have white tin on the walls and ceiling. Some put plywood on a portion of the lower walls like has been mentioned before. It looks sharp and will really brighten things up.

At the last house I lived in I put blue styrofoam in the garage door panels and put really thin aluminum diamond plate sheets over the whole works. It worked really well and didn't add a lot of weight to the doors. I had to tighten the springs a bit but nothing crazy.

My fab stall is gloss white osb everywhere with lots of led lights. My old eyes need all the help they can get.
