Last year I made a 2-for1 deal with my wife. Our property came with 2 small detached garages and a large barn. I had all of my projects and tools stuffed into those two building but that left me no room to actually work on them. The trade was that I could have the barn and convert it into a 1700 sf workshop and she gets the two small building for our farm stuff. Here are some pics of what I've been building.

This was the start of it.

I needed to frame in the front and gain the 9' of lost space under the overhang as well as frame out the opening for a pair of 8 x 12 garage doors.

This pic shows my progress after tearing down all of the interior walls, framing out the front, and prepping for concrete where the old stalls were.

Next I tackled the lighting. I found these 2-bulb, 4 foot fixtures on Craigslist for $5 each. I bought 60 of them, enough to light up all three building plus the house garage.

I got the shop to the point where I can start bringing in some of my current projects. I love these old IH Scouts. I have four of them.

I've started reassembling this '72 Scout II. I'm not happy with the way the paint turned out so I will be shooting it again in the next few weeks.

I've been paying for everything as I go. The garage doors should be in and ready to install in a couple weeks. Including the garage doors I'm into this build for about $6500-7000.

Very nice space you have there and a very cooperative wife! I really like that you named the garage after me.

The gas pump is very cool. What brand is it?

I know it is a Gasboy, but what model#? 390?

Thanks! You know, I'm not really sure of the model number. It's most likely on the data plate. I'll check that out when I go back out to the shop later today.
