Friend need some money, so he offered me his few mac wrenches he had for ten bucks. Ended up giving him some scrap that totaled 15 or something like that. Over all decent condition.

The 7/16 is the worse with no chrome left. The 9/16 has chrome peal on the open end and on the out side of the open end. The 1/2 is like new. The 5/8 has a little nick on it

The numbers on them are as follows
7/16-CH 14
1/2- K3 CW 16
9/19-F3 CW 18
5/8- I4 CL 20

Ok guessing the first letter/number combo is factory number? And the ##/11 is the wrench part number? Can any one give a value with the condition? More important age of these wrenches?

I don't think I'm as fond of them as my (few) snap on wrenches I have. They are about twice as thick as my snappy ones. Or they seem like the are any ways.

Why are you asking for value? If anything, sell them on here for their true value (probably 40 bucks) and give the money to your friend. He is obviously hurting for cash.

Actually, the more I think about it, I'm going to give them back. They was his late grandpas. I feel like a fool even taking them in there first place..

Good call! Its tempting to benefit yourself from anothers misfortune, but any good man worth his salt would help out someone who is in need! Since they were his grandfathers, convince him to never sell them! Old passed down tools are a treasure! You cannot place a value on them!

Is there a way to have this thread to be deleted?

Naw. Leave it here. It was a quick lesson for us all. But you, toolstools, have your heart in the right place. Maybe keep them until he gets back on his feet, then give them back. Otherwise he may just sell them to someone else.

he was just a Lil low on gas money. Hell be ok now.good thing is, he only does that stuff to me because he knows I won't get rid of them. I plan to give back a set of metric impact sockets we made a deal on a few years back that were also his grandpa's as a surprise birthday gift.
