Finally got my heater all hooked up. Easy install. Did it all my self. Works great!! Nice and quiet. I got the 50,000 btu unit. Still need to flip the sticker since I mounted it inverted to make the gas and venting have more area to work with. Used 4" B vent straight up through the roof.

We can't see the back. Is there a drip leg somewhere in the gas supply line?

Yes there is one on the backside. I just didn't take a pic of the back. I still have to finish a few detail things. But it works great and I have good heat in my garage now.

I didn't realize it was ok to direct mount one of those. I always assumed they needed a certain distance form the ceiling.

^ ^ ^Yeah, it's OK to direct mount, just leave far enough away from wall to get proper airflow.

It has 1" clearance from the ceiling. Hard to tell from the pic. The factory brackets are exactly 1". Works perfect.
