Someone asked me to post a picture of my collection last night. Here it is, by no means is it as impressive as some of the ones I've seen on the forum but I've worked hard for it. I was hoping some members might have some tool organization tips other than the tool man's...you know "buy a bigger box"

+1 on getting rid of the cases but then again that's what I have to do as well. Pot calling the kettle black right here.

I tried that and broke a few gauge faces. Everything in boxes is specialty or expensive

Yeah, and years later if you decide to sell some tools, everyone wants to know if you still have the original case (or box, etc). And if you do still have them, the tools are simply worth more on the market! Thus I try to save such cases, even if I must put them in the attic.

Thanks! I really like the look of those rails, and I will be looking on the trucks for those or possibly online.
I've seen plier rack, but I'm a little concerned about the height of the rack. It seems like the biggest problem is screw drivers , I'm considering a storage system out of box for those. It's hard to organize, we work out of the box virtually all day every day.

If I were you, I'd invest in a cabinet similar to this to store all those tools in the blow-molded cases.

I got a cabinet similar to this (I believe it is a HON) at the local used office furniture store. It was all steel construction and built to last. This is what I used when I ran out of room in my toolbox.

Big Gus beat me to it, I have this cabinet that I got on clearance for $100 http://www.google.com/products/cata...a=X&ei=42ZxTozmEqGD0QGJztyRCg&ved=0CDoQ8wIwAw and it IS perfect for anything in a blow molded case. It bought me a couple years of not having to upgrade my tool box, but once again its busting at the seams. If you want everything organized, youre prob gonna need a bigger box.

Looks to be more of a 1033. With the long top drawers.

I'll 2nd the Ernst. Either just the racks/rails or the grippers which make it easier to take a bunch with you. However the normal rails are a bit high. I've heard good things from the small snap on rails that fit in small height drawers. Will probably get some.

I've got the plier rack from northern and really like it. Better than the one I made from a closet shelve. Some channel locks need to be set a certain way to fit though in the 4" drawer. Like the bigger ones.

Other than that very nice. I want a KRL.

It is a 1033, I favored the two long drawers, I really don't like the small drawers at all.
Thanks again for the nice comments and suggestions. Next I've got my three white shelves covered in press arbors and miller specialty tools sorted out.... lol they consume so much space and many of the tools we have there can be easily replicated with other tools that fit multiple rolls. I'm considering down sizing those.
