My Budget Bench/Work Area

I love cheap... I didnt have any type of workspace prior to this

Bench was made from 3 pallets I got from work. Work surface is the left over laminate floor pieces from my recent laundry room remodel. Even the flooring was discounted at Lowes b/c the packages were open. I paid less than half price.

The cabinets were a "curb alert" on craigslist.

The heater was in the utility room in the basement and left by the previous owner and not being used. Blew out the pilot and it fired right up. Moved it to the garage were it will get more use and connected to an extra propane tank.

In all the cost of this perfect/small/homeowners work area cost about $15. Carrage bolts for the table legs and the hose for the propane tank... I'm happy!!

Very thrifty, lower cabinets as uppers, I've always wondered if someone has done this.

what are the plans for the rest of the space?

Funny you mention the cabinets. They were on the curb with the knobs on the top. It wasnt until i mounted them that i realized i installed them upside down... I have NO intentions of fixing it.

Its a 2 car garage with room for 1 car and bunch of kids toys. It will probably stay that way for a while. Someday when the kids are older i will reclaim my space. As for the work area. I want to get a few magnetic strips to hang some tools one the wall, and a nice bench vise.
