Figured I start my own thread to share with everyone here. Few weeks back got the permit to build. My brother offered to do the site prep for cheap. He came over on 5/9 for only a few hrs to dig some stumps as he got a call for another job. :( I'm hoping he can come this weekend!

Things are moving now! Monday the trusses etc. were delivered. My dog "TURBO" is inspecting too! hehehehe

Tuesday they dug the holes and I helped mix cement for the footings. Good thing I had 2 wheel barrows laying around! The code guy wanted a wet pour and wouldn't accept just tossing bags in the hole.

Today(Thur.), they came to set the poles etc. Man, they go up FAST and make it look so easy.

And heres the last as it started to rain and went home. Was hoping to see them finish Friday but inspection for the purlins wasn't planned so they'll be back Monday. Heres the last pic when they left today.....

The inspection was a joke. Guy came out, looked up under the overhead door area and passed it. LOL

Very nice. Do you have any complaints with Shirk? I'm looking at doing a similar building. Would you mind giving the package price? Did you insulate the roof? One last question. Do you know the height to the peak? Thanks.

No complaints. Leon, is a great salesman! He was NEVER pushy or anoyed by my millon questions or changes. The crew busted their butts and did a great job building my dream garage!!

Looks nice!

Are you framing in the bottom and getting concrete poored? Insulation and wiring going up? What are you going to do for the interior finishing?

Thanks.....

For now, I'm just putting stone down inside and need to add fill on the outside and pitch it away from the building. I do want to add wiring and insulation but need to save my pennies. LOL I'm just happy it finally up!

Heres a shot of the inside:

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting these and for chatting with me about your Shirk experience. I've now spoken to three satisfied Shirk customers, which always eases the decision process.

Hope to see my garage up in the near future.

I am looking a Shirk right now do you have any complaints after two years, and who did you have do the concrete.

Shirk did the floor too. I just noticed ANOTHER crack in the approach......no major issues with the building so far.

whats the roof pitch??

The pitch is 4/12

I guess its about time to add new pics, huh?
