I scored a vintage craftsman table saw on CL this week .

Made very well in the 1950's , 113.27520

It's a 10" with 3 bolt on sides, top is 50" x 27".

1HP craftsman motor

It was left in a house the seller bought from a 96 year old man , who I can see he took good care of his tools .

It works very well, I think I will use it for a while then the plan is to restore it , bearings , clean , lube and paint .

I got it for $65.00 .

I love those old '50's Craftsman machines... they've got style and most of them are really well made.

I've got a '52 Craftsman Jointer in Power Bronze that I bought last spring. It must weigh 150 lbs. Looks great in my shop and I use it all the time. Works as well as the day it was made.

I like the old look, kind of looks like old classic cars .

I also have 2 craftsman 150 drill presses , one bench and a floor model .

I have that exact saw! (without the table extensions). I've had it for 20 years and have used the heck out of it. Still going strong with the original motor, bearings and everything. I bought it (and my cman 150 drill press) from an old man that bought them new.. I hope you had help getting that thing home-i know it's heavy!

congrats!

GREAT price too!

Thanks Lightfoot .

I took the ext.s off to make it lighter . the guy had put a plywood base with casters on the bottom , that saved the day !

I used that same model saw as my primary table saw for years, I like to tell folks I put a "million miles" on it. It was a great saw, I eventually put a Biesemeyer fence on it, great for function, but ruined the looks.

I know that I have a brand new fence lock lever floating around the shop somewhere, I broke one once, they were still available so I bought two....

BDBLK2K3 I was looking at the same saw, just down the road from ya in Ktown. Still have too much work to do in my shop for the room to be used.

Those are classics. Over the years, I've had a dozen of those saws and still have two in the rathole.

Unfortunately, the selling price of table saws has gone in the toilet. They sell for one-fourth as much in constant dollars as they brought 20-30 years ago.

It's in really great shape .

With the belt off no noises in motor or arbor bearings .

Will restore later down the road .
