Hey everybody, figured i would join this site after reading A Pmech's DOALL bandsaw rebuild and restoration, looks like there are some very knowledgeable skilled people on this forum and lots of good info, so I figured I would post up some pics of my equipment and garage.

here is a Delta 14" metal cutting bandsaw I just picked up, it cuts very very nicely (anyone know what fluid to put in the gear reduction box??)

Walker turner drill press with a newer 3/4 hp motor, drills very nicely!

My MIG and Stick welders crammed in with two big wire shelves that hold all of my air and power hand tools

a close up on my Lincoln Idealarc 250, bought this thing on ebay and have a 50 amp 220 plug for it so I can crank er up to 300 ac amps (completely unnecessary)

There is my small but very capable MIG welder, and (dated) plasma cutter

The side opposite all that other stuff with the work bench and compressors, all my wrenches and sockets in the drawer set

sandblasting cabinet and other stuff, plus gotta have a fridge

Thats it!!!

absolutely!! thinkin about crammin a small benchmaster milling machine in there, never used a mill in my life but would love to learn

The place looks great, very funtional. I have been wanting a blast cabinet for some time myself. Any problems with dust or abrasives getting out of the cabinet? It would make a difference as to wether it is in the garage or outback.

Ever since i got it and got it up and running I find that I use it all the time, that cabinet I got from my friend's shop, it sat in the corner with broken glass all in it covered in dust b.c the owner of the garage (my friends father) slipped and busted the glass with his hand, its an old mac cabinet, it is missing some of the trim pieces that go around the glass which I have crudely repaired with duct tape and that is where the dust escapes, other then that I dont think it escapes from anywhere else, i calked the **** out of it when I first got it and cleaned it up a little bit.

I would say definitely get a blasting cabinet!!!! very very handy tools especially if you weld, although i usually will grind a piece after i blast it to weld it, it makes getting all the gunk rust and old paint off so easy and clean, if you get a high end cabinet with nice seals and everything I think it would be ok indoors, but if you have a real old cabinet like mine that leaks, maybe put it elsewhere, although it doesnt bother me that much, i just try not to breathe the **** in!!!!

Man you have all the bases covered...but no Bridgeport? Hah...well, I want one of those a nice old southbend too. Aside from the welding cart what other things to do you make/fix in there?

well lets see, I welded patches in the frame of a rotted out plow truck last week, welded up and repaired the whole steering assembly on this little go kart that i got over the weekend. I am working on that solo chainsaw, tryin to get that thing up and going. I may possibly be rebuilding the motor on an old 88' kx250 i have over the winter. The next project I have in mind is making some sort of thing with the old plow pump and hydraulics I took off of an older ford plow truck, the hydraulic pump is belt driven, and I have 3 pistons, only 1 way control though (the pistons from the left, right and up/drop plow controls) I do a lot of welding, and small engine work, work on cars too, nothing too crazy.

Definitely working on getting a mill and a lathe!!!!
