Pretty modest set-up, but should fill my needs for a while. Believe it or not, this is a big step up from what I have used in the past!
I don't have a lot of power available to the garage just yet, so much bigger was out of question right now anyway.

Got a HF coupon in the mail. 2HP 8 gallon compressor. As I recall 4.5 -5 CFM @ 90 psi. Also had a coupon for the 50 ft retractable hose reel.

Will change the oil this weekend as part of the break-in procedure.

Added a water separator after the picture.

I have the hose reel, works good. I was skeptical at first thinking it was going to be **** like a lot of their stuff, but was pleasantly surprised. I will be picking-up another soon…Lol

I've heard complaints on its longevity but it's soft and flexible so I would expect it not to last 100 years as the trade off.

Not bad. I started with the old Porter Cable package deal. Little pancake compressor/trim nailer deal.

It was a screamer!

Reworked a brake caliber on my Goldwing today, the compressor ran my ratchet with no problem. And it was sure nice having enough "air power" to blow something clean with an airgun!

I really like that reel.
We have a one made out of flat metal bar, it's red, and I believe from harbor freight. It's great for storing a hose but it still stinks winding it if you use it that often.

Not to mention there is always a 20' hose on the air compressor end, that way we can wheel it to vehicles if the reel hose doesn't reach.

I also added dolly wheels. HUGE DIFFERENCE. (Ignore the gator sticker....)

Just an update almost seven years later!!

The HF compressor is still going strong. I change the oil about once a year.

I have replaced the hose in the hose reel one time so far. I need to do it again soon. I messed up and got a very "soft flexible" hose. The reel doesn't really like that, it needs the stiffer stuff that came on it.

I seem to have more and more cordless tools around the garage, this compressor that I thought I would out grow has not been the case. If I had to replace it tomorrow, I might look for a bigger holding tank, but otherwise it has done me well.
