Got these today from a Universal Tech Institute student who graduated and couldnt afford to ship them home. Didn't think $300.00 was bad for the lot. Most of them were not even opened, only the screw drivers were used at all.

The young man lives in Hawaii and said he had tools at home in his fathers shop on the Big Island so he didn't need these. Very nice young man doing his diesel master tech certification.

A question for the Snap-On Dealers/Industrial reps. What is the deal with discounts for students in technical schools/colleges. The young man who sold me these tools said Snap-On was giving the students a 50% discount on all tools and box's while they were in school and up to 6 months after graduation. During school I can understand but 6 months after graduation seems like it would be seriously cutting into the Dealers revenue.

That's a smoking deal.

1 piece of advice on the Matco bag. Throw away the shoulder strap! The bag will tear with just a little weight. Trust me on this one.

I sent an email to the same guy yesterday. I was going to buy them, but could not get over there. I had to make money, first. Not to buy, but to feed the family. I should have called him back when he sent me an email this morning at 6 am.

AZ Scooter,

You would have gotten them, I did not get in touch with him until about 10:30or so. He was leaving today to go back to Hawaii at 5 PM. It was a bit of a surprise to see the condition of the tools when I got to the house they like I said earlier were new. Where do you work if you don't mind me asking?

I work for myself. I do all sorts of government contracts. I was out in Scottsdale this morning doing some nuisance abatement projects.

That's the part I can't figure out - seems like there should be some economical way to take them from Arizona to Hawaii. :headscrat

The table is a close replica of the one sold by Bluco http://www.bluco.com/index.php look at the larger tables in the link and you can see what the many uses are for the table. It is very good for fixturing and genral layout as it is flat to within .0001" within 12" and square down all four faces of the table. Of course the holes for clamps and angle plates is very nice as well. I will post some pics of it in a different thread if thats what you guys want.
