I would like to install a two post lift, should I put it in the center bay or on one end? I’m not a mechanic and this will simply be for personal use!

Center...that way you have plenty of room on both sides if you're pulling an axle or need a door open or whatnot.

Sharp work S64! That brick work adds an attractive touch. Meanwhile, welcome aboard.

Center for room on each side of the lift for working areas.

End bay to have a larger open foot print.

Not sure of which aspect is most important to you.

Very nice brick and block garage. I’m partial to brick and block buildings since my house and garage are brick and block too.

Do you have any more photos of the garage or any of the build process to share?

What’s going to happen inside the garage?

Here are some other pics. I have done almost all the work myself, including pouring footings, installing the metal roof, and painting and laying all the block and brick. My brother has helped some and some friends occasionally stopped by and offered help. It’s been a lot of fun. Right now I’m waiting on garage doors which were ordered back in July and was suppose to have been deliver last month and now they are telling me next February.

Nothing special inside. I do plan to run air lines and install a two post lift, and maybe some craftsman cabinets like you can purchase from Lowe’s, that will basically be it!

Great work. I like the masonry work...really pretty accents in the exterior, especially around the door(s). Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I wish I had the skills to do block work. It would be easier to work by myself building my garage with block. I always thought split block was structural rather than a veneer over the structural block. I am looking at ICF four feet up which I can set up myself. The problem is I will still need several helpers the day the concrete is poured.

I’m looking for a cost effective heating system. Am considering infrared tube heater or a mini split. I have approximately 1200 sf. Also not opposed to going with a propane heater hanging in the corner. It will mainly be used to keep a constant temperature of around 45-50 degrees in the winter! What do you guys suggest?
