My custom colored HF 42" tool box

I've always liked the combo of black and green so when I pulled the trigger on my new 42" on black Friday I always had this project in the back of my mind.
I purchased some green vinyl wrap from Amazon and got to to work. I'm very pleased with how it came out, I ended up needing (2) 1'x5' rolls for $12. A heat gun, hard card, and cutting tools were all I needed.

Looks great! I don't have the patience to apply that much vinyl. It would be all bumpy and look like terrible if I attempted that.

Much easier then masking and spray painting, and removable.

Wrapping a box is tedious, but can come out great.

Maybe 2 hrs. if I did it again. I spent more time on it because of the old "measure twice cut once" adage
Then I had to order another roll.

It looks really nice. I like bright tool boxes. You walk into a lot of shops and it's like a dark dungeon with dark walls and dark tool boxes.

Next time, just find another buddy that likes black and green and each of you buy a box, one in black and one in green. Then just trade drawers.

unfortunately that doesn't always work with HF products. Even two of the same color could be different enough to prevent that.
