Hi all,
i am new to this forum so i decided to show you my work of art.
My tools are a collection of
stahlwille (germany)
snap on (usa)
knipex (germany)
unior (slovenia)
mac (usa)
my toolbox is a montezuma box,a freind of mine made the snap on chopper decal for it and with a bit of patience we stuck it on ourselves.
I am from melbourne australia and tools like these are hard to come across.
I got sick of using chinese rubbish so i invested in the best.
Cheers

That looks great! I really like the blue under the tools so you always know if one is missing.

I have a Snap-On box I bought used in about 1970. I'ts sat empty for about 15 yrs and I've actually thought of getting rid of it. The only reason that I haven't is because it was the first decent box I bought. Now I know what I want to do with it! Thanks JST.

Hey finally!

Someone else with the same box as mine... How do you like it? Personalizing something is even better when the end result is what you wanted it to be, good job!!

Looks good!

What tools do you have from Unior?
The only ones I have from them are left and right hand 5/8-20 to 9/16-20 helicoil taps. Nice tools.

Some of my Hammers and cold chisels are unior.
Unior are reletively new in Australia but are becoming popular as The locally made tools are now outsourced to china and there quality is shocking.
cheers

Unfortunately here in Australia most of our manufacturing has been outsourced to asian countries resulting in loss of jobs and poor quality products.
In the case of sidchrome they were baught out by stanley works and have stopped production in Australia. They used to produce some of the best hand tools available.
However since then they are now made in Taiwan and have joined the list of rubbish thats out there.
We only have snap on here thats quality and stahlwille but they cost us a fortune compared to what you pay in the US or Germany.
Thank god for Ebay which gives us the chance to buy from overseas.
The wurth box has deep impact sockets with plasic sleeve for alloy rims.

cheers

I bought a VW mechanic's estate a few years ago and almost every Stahlwille or Hazet item went to Australia, Scandianvia or Holland.

I kept his Hazet rollaround and a few interesting items.

My wife is from Sydney. She moved here to the US in 1961.
Nice box. They are much more expensive down there than here. We fly down to Sydney every year and then go up to Coffsharbour on the Coast. We have a little 2 bed room condo there about 5 blocks form the beach. I never want to come home. I have a nephew that lives near you that is a mechanic.
