I have been reading and posting for a short time now and I figured I had better join in on the fun and post my pics. LOL (WARNING:GARAGE is AMESS)

I just barely got the house and garage so it is unfinished but fear not it will.

I think I got the house simply for the garage!.. :lol:
I think it is about 30X25' on the inside.
Garage wired for 100A.
11' or 12' Ceilings
12ea 115V outlets
The crapy pink bench that you see was in the garage when I got it.
I plan on wiring in 2ea 220V outlets for a compressor and welder (neither of which I have yet), maybe 30-50A outlets?

I just recently installed eight total of the 8foot, high output florecents, to replace the 4footers suspended from the ceiling. I had to add another 20A Cuircuit for the new lights since the previous owner had everything going into one curcuit. I had to redo some of the wiring in the garage because abit of it was done strange (lots of unneeded jumpers etc). :shocking:

I was also thinking of installing 6x9 Speakers in the Ceiling with a built in speaker jack on the wall inside the (future) cabinets. Also want to install a luvered (sp?) exhaust fan on one of the walls. Then I will have my buddy help me plum the gas into it for heating....maybe I will just do electric (Dunno yet).

Any how, lemme know what ya think....Ideas are appreciated also.

Oh, and of course insulation and Drywall!

Nice.

Which dimension is the 30'..... the width? I'm guessing that due to how much space is left to the wall in front of your truck.

Nice garage there and a nice Dodge (guessing a 78 from the healights).

Be careful not to overload the panel with the 220's I have a 100 panel in mine with 4 20a 110v circuits (west wall recp, east wall recp, 2 lightings) and a 20a 220v compressor for my 5hp 60 gal Sam's compressor mounted outside for noise and a 50a for a welder that I no longer have. The electrician said not to run both at the same time to avoid problems. Also, check the size & distance of your feed to the panel.

What happened to me is the longer I waited to install my drywall the more stuff got accumulated and now it's going to be a major pain to do. Just my .02

Just remember to take your oil off the "shelf" before doing drywall! :D

Nice looking garage... wish mine was that big!

I sure hope those cinderblocks are for wheels chocks and not as jackstands, we had a local guy killed when the cinderblocks give in a few years ago

Yeah, I wondered about over loading the panel too, and was going to just put in one 50A... but after I spoke with someone else he said it is a pain for him to have to swap plugs. I'll just have to watch what is going on all at once.

Oh, and you confirmed my fears....I am fighting like mad trying NOT to put anything else in the garage, otherwise drywalling will be a mayjor pain as U said.
Also, in the pictures I wasn't using the cinderblocks as jack stands, I was using them to sit on...LOL while I worked on my truck.

The truck is a 1977 Dodge Power Wagon W200 3/4ton 4x4 Club Cab, . I bought it off of my grandfather (got rid of my bow tie :thumbup: )
Later I swapped the 2bbl 360 (85,000 miles) and 727A for a 440 and 0.040" shaved heads, rebuilt OEM Chrysler 4160 Holley (which as Holleys go...needs rebuilding again) and a rebuilt 727B.
Not to be Punny, but something else COOL...the A/C still works LOL :bounce:

I did have initial issues with the rebuilt 727B, and actually opened it up a couple times trying to find the problem, but all is well once again.

Oh, and ChucksCrib you are correct on the dimensions.

LOL, if it were me, I'ld still worry about the blocks giving out. :lol: Hope no one else here has that problem.

Yes the ceiling IS a pain,.....but since you have done drywall before, U also know that it ain't as bad when you have a second person there to help U manhandle it.

Nice garage. Insulation and drywall. I have yet to do this. I'm considering going with the expanding spray foam stuff.

I couldn't really tell how much space you have up in the rafters. One of the best things that I did in my garage was to put in pull down stairs so that I could get up into the attic easily. It makes a HUGE difference to be able to store all of the 'needed once in a while' stuff up and out of the way. Like I said..I couldn't get a good perspective of the framing, so if you do this, use your best judgement about how much to store up there.
