Actually, it was sitting next to the dumpster. Close enough!
The business next to my work tossed a couple of these. I grabbed this one. It was the best of the bunch. Absolutely nothing wrong with it! It's a heavy duty HON. Thing weighs a ton!

When I saw it I knew immediately what I was gonna use it for! Took some measurements and sure enough, it'll fit! Into my truck it went!
Most of my corded power tools sit on these two warped corkboard shelves, next to the welding table. Not only do they get covered with grinding dust but the whole thing just looks unsightly!

Spent an hour or so after work tonight and tore out the junk shelves. Rebraced it and cleaned everything up. Fits like a glove!
Woodworking tools in the bottom drawer, metal working tools in the top. I'll probably lay some carpet or something in there as drawer liners.
Looks much better than before!:shocking:

The clerks use those where I work. Try moving one with both drawers blocked with files.....damn near gave myself a hernia!! They are great cabinets though. Never thought of grabbing one when they retire them. Thanks for the idea!

Perfect fit for your space, and an upgrade to the shelving, without having to redesign the structure. Great score!

I have the same one also, dumpster find. There's a heavy *** steel plate screwed to back panel, you'll have to pull out both drawers and have to unscwer 4 self tappers - I think it's for keeping the thing from tipping over when the top drawer is under weight and fully extended.

If you google the brand and the lock number, you can find keys. I found a company off of Ebay. Keys 3 days later and it worked!

I had given my wife a small corner of the garage to pile up some of her stuff........and pile up her stuff she did! All kinds of little dodads haphazardly tossed into the corner! So......now I've gotta build a bunch of shelves so she can put all her stuff into plastic totes and set them on the shelves. When I do that I'll leave about 6" clearance below the bottom shelf and my floor jacks can slide in there. Isn't it funny how one little project always leads to another bigger project when you really don't have time to finish the first project in the first place!

For those who asked about the car, here's a link.

That's the perfect storage for those power tools. And the perfect price. I might think about something like that now...I've never been able to solve where to put my power tools.
